Sthephan G. Stephansson Poetry

What is a poet? You may ask!
In this lies a worthy task:
It is a fire that slumbers
deep within shallow embers.

In a breeze that scarcely stirred a leaf
a hidden flame may flare,
kindling heat and light and life –
maybe even raging fire.

Written in 1892
